Over a third of women in Georgia experience physical or sexual violence by an intimate partner in their lifetime. If you are suffering in an abusive relationship, you are not alone. Help is available.

Who We Are

Feet of Clay is a 501 c3 non-profit organization dedicated to supporting survivors of domestic abuse in the Atlanta area.

What We Do

A woman embraces a child, holding them closely in a comforting manner, against a plain background.

Taking the first steps in leaving an abuser are often the most difficult.

We strive to provide immediate and long-term support for battered women and their children as they begin a new life.

Tamara

Tamara

In 2019, Tamara, then a mother of a one-year-old and a new baby, needed to leave an abusive relationship. She reached out to Feet of Clay. FoC helped her find resources including a shelter where Tamara and her two sons could be safe as she began putting her life back together, and an organization that would provide housing assistance once she found an apartment. FoC helped Tamara with healing mentally and emotionally from the abuse.

To raise domestic violence awareness, Tamara is now working on a book about her experience. She plans to include excerpts from the journal. Today, Tamara and her sons are thriving. She is a busy small business owner. In her spare time, Tamara enjoys working with FoC, giving back to the organization that helped her.
